Homeschool Program

The Garrett Music Academy Home School Program was specifically designed for the growing homeschool population in Southern Maryland. The purpose of the program is to develop results in both academic and musical excellence in an environment that is informative, yet fun. The program is structured to include a group general music class and students are encouraged to take one private lesson a week partnered with an ensemble or choir. The courses are laid out in a 12-week semester and various payment options are available

Our trained staff is available to help customize your class schedule either by phone, email, or in person. Full copies of course curriculums are available upon enrollment and payment for the semester. Key aspects from each course are intricately and purposefully interwoven with others. This is not only important for you and your children, but is an integral aspect of GMA's goals as an institute. We have a proven track record and have seen numerous positive results with technique, performance and confidence from our homeschool program and ensembles.

As you know, homeschooling poses unique benefits and challenges for which our customized programs are perfect. Individual attention, a wealth of resources, and no limits as far as what a student is able to try and reach for are important elements of our program. Skill levels are taken into account, which ranges in layout from young beginners to intermediate and advanced. Please note the course descriptions available in the drop down menu under “Ensembles and Programs. Ensembles are mixed with homeschoolers, as well as students from private and public schools. Students will have more social opportunities as well as access to individuals from our teaching staff that specialize in a variety of instruments.
