Nancy Elliott (Voice and Piano)

Piano, Voice, Female Voice Specialist

  • Nancy earned her Bachelor’s in Music from St. Mary’s College
  • Nancy is a member of the Maryland Music Educators Association
  • Taught the Garrett Music Academy Homeschool General Music I and II classes
  • Participated in several elementary school music programs in Calvert County
  • Has an "A" rating for All County and All State preparation
  • Nancy has been teaching since 2005 and performing since the mid 1990's

Steven Brown (Voice and Piano)

  • Earned his undergraduate from the Westminister choir college
  • Earned his Masters Degree from the Vienna Conservatory
  • Has been teaching at the Garrett Music Academy since 2005
  • Member of the Maryland Music Educators Association


Meghan Bonner (Voice and Piano)

  • Teaching at the Garrett Music Academy since 2006
  • Expertise in beginning/intermediate piano and voice
  • Choir director for The Garrett Music Academy Children’s Choir
  • Associate Teacher for the Garrett Music Academy Homeschool General Music Program
  • Primary Teacher for Homeschool Recorder Class

Charity Reynolds (Voice and Piano)

  • Graduate of St. Mary's College
  • Has been teaching privately for 5 years
  • Teaching at The Garrett Music Academy since 2009
  • Vocal specialist
  • Beginning/intermediate piano
  • Teaches all genres and musical theater




    



      


     Katie Evans (Voice and Piano)
  • Graduated with a Bachelor’s of Music from The Catholic University of America, in Washington, DC. 
  • For six years she was a section leader and soloist at the Shrine of the Most Blessed Sacrament, performing in Mendelssohn’s Elijah, Handel’s Messiah, and both the Faure and the Mozart Requiem. 
  • She has premiered as the National Anthem soloist for DC United, the Baltimore Orioles, and live radio performances. 
  • Performed with choral ensembles for the late Pope John Paul II at the Vatican, participated in the internationally known Amalfi Coast Music Festival in Italy for piano performance, and conducted more than 350 women in the Independent School’s Choral Festival at the Washington National Cathedral in DC.
  • Has taught private piano and voice to elementary, middle, and high school students, as well as directed or music-directed for such musicals as The King and I, Annie, Grease, Pippin, and The Producers to name a few.

     CarrieAnne Winters (Voice and Piano)

  • Received undergraduate degree from Western Michigan University.
  • Earned Master's Degree from University of Maryland (MM).
  • She has received numerous awards including:  Encouragement Award at the Great Lakes District National Council auditions and 3rd place at the Harold Haugh Light Opera Vocal Competition, as well as the Links of Annapolis Award. 
  • Performed the roles of Despina/Cosi fan tutte, Rosalba/Florencia en el Amazonas, Die Königen der Nacht/Die Zauberflöte, and Blonde/Die Entführung aus dem Serail. Her recent concert work includes Orff’s Carmina Burana, as well as Schubert’s Mass No. 2 in G.
  • Workshopped The Inspector General by John Musto with Wolf Trap Opera, and she also premiered several new composer’s works, including two operas, a song cycle, and she appeared as a soloist in two Masses.
  • Has shared the stage with Johnny Mathis, Darmon Meader, and Bobby McFerrin.
