Charles Jones Flutes, Saxophones, Clarinets, Oboe, Piccolo, EWI Woodwind Controller, Woodwind Specialist Studied Jazz Improvisational Technique under Calvin Douglas Lampley, Peabody Institute, Woodwinds and Classical Studies under John Newsome, Howard University and Melvin Miles, Morgan State University. Extensive performing career both locally and throughout the United States. Opening Act for Earth, Wind and Fire, Norman Connors, Jean Carn, Rick James, Kool and the Gang, Sly and the Family Stone and more. Has taught privately since the 1980’s. Has been with the Garrett Music Academy since 2004. Has an “A” rating for preparing students for All County, All State, Tri County and the collegiate auditions.
