The Mission of The Garrett Music Foundation is to bring meaningful music education through private lessons, classes, ensembles, and instruments to under-served and disabled individuals, particularly families that live below the poverty line.
As we already know, music lessons are a major component to building self-discipline, accomplishing academic success, becoming well rounded in the arts, fostering positive social interaction, and opening the doors of communication and opportunity.
The idea for the foundation sprang from the work the Academy already accomplishes in the community. As the school has grown, committing resources to each of these programs has become increasingly difficult. We are confident that with The Garrett Music Foundation, we will be able to partner with a wider array of community partners to impact the lives of each and every person in this county with music. We will also be able to commit full staff and resources to each and every situation in which we can make a positive impact.
